Jeppiaar Institute of Technology (JIT) is a technical college in Kunnam, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 2011 by the Jeppiaar Educational Trust, an organization created by educationist Colonel Dr. Jeppiaar in 1987. The college is affiliated to Anna University.

Jeppiaar Institute offers courses in mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering as well as computer science and information technology, leading to either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology degree. It Provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students, and a number of extra- and co-curricular activities such as sports and clubs.

             The main aim of the institution is SELF BELIEF, SELF DISCIPLINE, SELF RESPECT

Its a Coed college for name sake but they treat the students in a childish manner.

Lots of diseases are spread to the students in the college campus due to the improper maintenance provided by the institution.

             Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the campus for the students' safety.

Jeppiaar institutions provide a great homely support for female students to archive success in goals. The College mainly focuses on developing the students career not the skills.

The college hours are from 8 am to 5 pm; students are strictly adviced to reach the college before 7.45 am. Since it is located in a rural area the hostel students feels good than day students to stay there. Outings are permitted for students who obey the rule, a fax must be send by their parents to the hostel to allow the students outside the campus (i.e. home).

The students who secure low grades are given special care and classes to overcome their arrears. The institution does not support persons who have backlots and not disciplined.

The faculty's in this institution are less compared to other colleges but provide extensive knowledge on the subject.

The institution focuses mainly to place all the students in a software company. Here a mechanical and Electrical engineering students are pressured to learn to code whether he or she has interest in it or not.

 

             Various activities and societies exists in the institution but do not function itself. The college is mainly for homely people and who wishes to work for others not for entrepreneurs or creative students.
